As outlined on the “Why Clean Air Ducts In Your Home” page of our site, having your vents and air ducts cleaned is of great importance for the overall health of your family, appearance of your home and saving money. Dust, dirt, molds, bacteria and other allergens in the air in your home can have serious health effects and damage your HVAC system. These pollutants need to be removed and that’s where Monster Vac can help.
Monster Vac’s residential air duct cleaning is the standard for which all others are measured. We consistently deliver amazing results for our residential customers by employing highly-trained technicians, using the most powerful equipment and thoroughly cleaning all HVAC components, not just the air ducts. Our residential air duct cleaning services includes:
Pre Project assessment – We inspect the system and develop a plan for maximizing the effectiveness of cleaning the system while at the same time minimizing the impact to the home and occupants
Protective measures – We take lots of measures to protect your home, such as drop cloths being laid out, corner protectors and booties.
We clean the entire furnace – Monster Vac cleans your furnace as only a HVAC service company can. We disassemble important components such as the blower, flue, burners and humidifiers in order to access the air passageway and the combustion passageway of your furnace. Other Duct Cleaning companies many only wipe out the blower compartment and the outside of the furnace and claim they have cleaned your furnace. Monster Vac cleans the important components of your furnace that affect it’s operation. See our presentation on Cleaning Furnaces located in our library.
We clean the full length of the supply air ducts – We clean from the point the air comes out of the registers in your home all the way back to the point of origin, the furnace. This is important to note since most companies will only clean the first few feet of the duct that they can reach through the register opening. Monster Vac Technicians will run a a combination of spinning brushes and compressed air jets down the full length of each duct scrubbing them clean. Because of the tremendous power of our Monster Vac Trucks we are able to reach deep into the ducts and remove all of the debris out of the entire system.
We clean the full length of the return air ducts – Just like with the supply air ducts, we clean the return air ducts from the register in the home all the way back to the furnace. The Full length!
We clean the registers and diffusers – All of the registers and diffusers are cleaned. we even go so far as to scrub the “boots” that are the part of the duct located directly under the register.
We remove the blower from the furnace - The only way to effectively clean the blower in your furnace is to remove it. You can’t effectively clean the wheel and housing with the blower in place. In addition the dirtiest part of your system is often times the blower shelf which is located above the blower mounts. To remove the blower from the furnace requires special skills and experience. You must be a trained HVAC tech to remove the blower. Other duct cleaning companies don’t remove the blower because they don’t have the skills, this is just wrong! Monster Vac will remove the blower on all jobs in order to properly clean the wheel, housing and the blower shelf. See our presentation on blower cleaning in our library tab.
Wet Clean the evaporator coils – Monster Vac is the only company in the industry that actually wet cleans both the upstream side and the downstream side of every evaporator coil. Wet cleaning is the only way to thoroughly clean an evaporator coils and restore it’s air flow to original design capacities. Wet cleaning isn’t an option with other companies because they can’t control the water and keep it from overflowing on top of your heat exchanger. Monster Vac’s proprietary water vapor system enables us to wet clean these evaporators without the mess and damage that is caused by conventional wet cleaning systems. See our presentation in our library on Residential coil cleaning.
The final steps of our cleaning process includes the following:
Safety Check – Upon completion of cleaning we reassemble the furnace and check the operation of the system.
Photo Documentation – During the project we will be continually taking digital pictures to document the project. Upon completion of the work, we show you photo documentation that we have thoroughly cleaned your system and upon request we will email you the photos for your records.
Guaranty – We offer a complete satisfaction guaranty. If for any reason you feel we haven’t properly cleaned your system we will return for no charge and re-clean it for you.
Nobody in the industry will do as thorough a job cleaning your residential air ducts than Monster Vac.
